  1. 24 hour ban - first offense - must go 1 month without any offenses and it resets to 24 hour ban again or the first offense again.
  2. 72 hour ban - second offense - within 1 month
  3. 1 week ban - third offense - within 1 month
  4. 1 month ban - fourth offense - within 1 month

Maybe the thinking is I don't want to ban anyone completely and/or entirely or long term for that matter, but you know at the same time I don't agree with this. Instead a 24 hour ban (break) and/or 72 hour ban (break) if it continues and so on up to 3 or 4.

Obviously this post originates due to something else, but I'm not going there and I'm staying out of that. Just thought I'd recommend something.

Just my 2 cents: if we have a "block user" function, we'll not need the ban, unless it's a TOS offense. Then, maybe a warning would suffice?

They are working on this I think.

Just saw that. I didn't see that until 10-15 minutes ago.

Yep, this is why I cited it, I saw the announcement. I guess it causes less drama, because WE will ban the trolls from our screens, and the admins can't be blamed for it. So the trolls call troll all they want, nobody will be listening. It's the troll's purgatory.

I liked that idea to as well. Someone posted that one a couple days ago.
