It seems self comments are automatically darkened now for some reason. i'm looking for a choice in settings to keep them at the same brightness as all the rest of the text i can't find one. it's hard enough to see a lot of this stuff and sunlight on a phone. can we please reverse this change that seems to have happened within the last hour or two.
i am guessing this has something to do with a setting that darkens things you have already read etc. that is something i prefer to not have.
furthermore i know there's a temptation among all sites to start adding all sorts of features and javascript and color choices and a myriad of other things but quite honestly i prefer a simpler plain text site. everything else just gets the site slower and slower. i'm already noticing a much slower posting speed today. i don't know if some changes happen that has made that happen but when i hit submit post now it takes like 10 seconds or more for it to actually post whereas it used to be instant.
