It looks pretty for sure but perfomance wise @AOU and myself have seen some serious lag issues. So we are taking suggestions for the next chat system to try

rocket.chat also uses mongoDB which is tough to integrate with poals database for auth. I made some progress on my test instance but it was slow.

So If you have a suggestion feel free to post it.

Yeah one option I've been considering is just doing IRC server with a self hosted web client. Its an idea at least.
