It looks pretty for sure but perfomance wise @AOU and myself have seen some serious lag issues. So we are taking suggestions for the next chat system to try

rocket.chat also uses mongoDB which is tough to integrate with poals database for auth. I made some progress on my test instance but it was slow.

So If you have a suggestion feel free to post it.

It might be feasible to have the notabug network host your chats but I’m not sure how the account integration would work with that. You’d probably have to create nab accounts for each user and send the password to their js code to use for chatting.

This approach would compromise end user privacy for private messages when I implement those though since you would be controlling the poal user’s mapped nab accounts.
