Answered Desync on New

When checking New sometimes the posts at the top are hours old when there have been more recent posts made. Like there are multiple versions of New and I'm randomly getting one that's out of date. A load balancer issue? This isn't new--it's been like this for at least a year.

Happens to me when the VPN connection isn't responsive or drops/reconnects.

It happened again.

I saw this post on New: https://poal.co/s/Canada/522010 Then I refreshed new and the post wasn't on New any more. I tried opening New from incognito and from a different browser. The post wasn't there on either of them. After about five minutes the post re-appeared on New.

I really don't see how it can be my connection or my browser caching an older copy of the page.

If you aren't subscribed to a sub, the posts will only show in /all/new, /all/hot, /all/pop and /all/top

You probably accidentally refreshed from /new which only shows posts from subs you are subscribed to.
