On mobile. Also after DV, sometimes cannnot UV the post without a refresh. As I recall, you used to be able to quickly change the vote.

Just had this on desktop. Upvoted one comment in a thread > arrow lit and count increased Then upvoted a reply on that comment also > arrow lit, but count stayed the same

Had to refresh the page to see the second upvote didn't register and arrow was back to unlit. Proceeded to upvote it again and it lit and count increased that time.

(edit: I misread what the OP was describing. What I described experiencing is a bit different from what they described, but both issues may be tied to the same cause.)

This is unrelated and happens when your connection drops while you are voting, even for a millisecond.

If you check your browser console you will see this when it happens:

WebSocket network error: The operation couldn’t be completed. Connection reset by peer

Ah, thank you for explaining that. I had not noticed that occurring before for me, though it has likely happened plenty of times. I'll pay closer attention to watch for it to happen again now that I know it happens and what the cause is.

Happens way more often on ToR (where the exits are switching all the time) or sluggish VPN/Proxies.
