Useful.
This might be the warning: "Hey you dirty upvote pinching grubbing kike, that link was posted earlier here, here, here, and here. Now go earn your upvote shekels the right way and post something else!"
That's a very welcome feature.
Nice. Seeing the same story posted in three subs at once is annoying. Viewing the site by All/New works great so there is no need to put something in multiple subs thinking it will be seen by more people.
That feature was added for the following purpose:
Prevents users from accidentally reposting something that is already or was on the front page a few days ago (posted in subs they have blocked or aren't subscribed to).
To only submit that link again if the previous ones didn't get enough attention (depending on posting time)
The only group that is extensively crossposting are Q users.

Annoying fuckers, aren't they?
"Fellow Users"
Good Idea!
Seriously. Thanks. I hate dropping a link that’s already been posted.
Same, I don't even bother trying to post news because I assume others already did, and I'm too lazy to go look first.
Nice
Good move. If I am posting breaking news I TRY to remember to search first. But I see too many dupe posts.
How does it know it's already been linked? It's spying on us, 1984!!!
/s better feeds ahead, thanks.
"Freedom of speech!"... Now you gotta find where to spend upvotes, agree though clone posts bog the newsfeed up pretty good somedays.
I already check the 'Related Posts' if it is available to weigh who gets the upvote by seeing who posted something first, how much time passed between postings, and who posted the item to a proper sub.
It's sad that I sometimes check the Related Posts page for something and see that the duplicate for the same thing that was posted was also made by the same user just a couple days or weeks prior. Such low memory and attention spans people can't remember shit they saw or did a few days or weeks ago.
One thing that doesn't help is that I also see people circumventing the Related Posts detection by making their post a text post and not a link post and then pasting the link into the body, which also forces people to need to enter into the post to then access the link.
lol Name checks out.
Users can still post those links after being reminded they have already been posted.
Good idea, I don't like getting yelled at when I unwittingly make a duplicate post.
