The current block user feature was an experiment, and after a few months of live trial, @PMYB2 and I agreed on changing its behavior when necessary. So starting now, you'll need to be at least level 6 (was level 30) to be able to reply to posts/comments from users who blocked you.

It isn't that hard to reach, and will also prevent low effort trolls from using alts to flood shitcomments in posts.

I don't see it that way at all. One user I block,engrish_is_hard I'm sure is a nice guy. He's never been shitty to me, I just don't personally enjoy his shtick- it doesn't add anything to my experience to see purposefully constructed pseudo-ESL sentences. I'm sure some people find it hilarious. The block button just means that I won't have to waste time reading something that isn't likely to improve my time on the site.

It doesn't stop Engrish from speaking (and it shouldn't.) Just me from hearing it.
