I don’t believe a setting is at play here
I been here so many times and you'll eventually figure out why it only happens to you.
Only people using Tor Browser will experience that behavior, because it flushes the entire browsing history (cookies included) when you close/restart it.
Unlike some other places that use jew-owned services to track you, Poal doesn't use/have any of this shit.
The one and only thing used to remember you (session token) and your day/grey/dark mode settings is a simple cookie.
The session token is set to expire 365 days after its creation.
The only reason why OP is having that issue is because the browser is deleting the cookie for some un-poal-related reason.
It could be an ad-block extension or an antivirus app (false positive) doing that.
For sure, I'm just saying that more than just the Tor browser has this behavior.
I’ll either figure it out or deal with it. I think it’s along the lines of what I said already. I don’t use Tor to browse Poal.
It didn’t happen that I was aware of before day mode was introduced. This only means of course that it may have been happening, but I didn’t notice as perhaps grey mode was default already.

That's correct. Grey mode has been default since it has been introduced, but has been replaced by day mode.
Wonderful, then just a swap of the sort order squashes the bug.
