I don't see how this is a tighter control on the userbase. Before this update, nobody could comment or reply to users that have blocked them.

I'm still not understanding what you mean. Is it because my comment was unclear? I edited it just now because it had some mistakes like saying "bed" rather than "before" and I said it allows people to comment to blocked users when I actually meant users that have blocked them.
