Bug report - Pending Dropdown Images loading slowly

So when I leave poal open for a while and continue browsing where I left it, the drop down pics take forever to load. I don't know if this is just because I left it open, and I haven't tested it fully but it's just something I noticed. It gets annoying cuz I like to browse all the content ever so I don't want to reload and lose my position, which will usually fix this.

I'll test it over the weekend and see how load times are affected the longer a page stays open.

It's something I've ignored since I've joined and doesn't happen often because I don't leave the same tab open for browsing again later. Usually, I refresh and get newer content. But it does happen every so often when I don't do that for whatever reason.

I ignore it cuz refreshing fixes it, and it's probably something you can ignore for now, but it could be something that causes issues later. Again, I'll see if I can give you something more concrete to back this up.

Also, it happens on all my devices.

when you say "dropdown images" do you mean loading them within poal's expando?

Which page/section does it happen in?

yes sorry, not sure what it's called. When browsing through posts and there's a button to just see the image inline and not change the page.

It happens in any section, but I usually just browse the Front Page or ALL and sort by hot and then by new when I see the same stuff.

So what you mean is that you go to /all/hot and open image posts in the expando and leave them opened that way for a while, then when you come back on that tab, it becomes laggy?

Then to fix it you just have to refresh that same tab or do you have to completely close it and open a new one?
