Forcing homogenization is a poor route. With free discussion being allowed this site will likely (and already is, mostly) become close to homogeneous in the way you describe it. Good ideas will prevail.

Just like if I were to make my own private group among my friends and allow free speech it WOULD NOT BE CENSORSHIP if I were to disallow someone from joining the group.
