The user block feature just got a minor update and now prevents users you've blocked from commenting to your posts/comments, and this was done to prevent abuse (off-topic trolling and comment flood from blocked users).

I rest my case. If admins really care about security, it's a trustworthy site.

Voat become a shithole and many left because there was no security at all.

Anyway, only time will tell.
