But for desktop, the old one made more practical use of the space in the menu bar.
Although I still prefer the old menu bar for desktop
What exactly do you prefer?
Are you using your user profile, settings, day/dark mode and log out everyday? The last three are pretty much never used.
Relevant features such as search and PM box are now directly accessible for both desktop and mobile, not matter where you are.
I forgot to think of it that way.
I sometimes switched between the dark and bright modes in /s/ModAbuse, just for fun. But that is not essential.
But you're right in this regard.
Tomorrow, I will also adapt the /s/ModAbuse (and later /s/LostFeatures) CSS to the change.
Another thing I noticed:
Guests (not logged in) can not access night mode anymore.
At least, they can access the full list of default subverses at narrow screen widths.
Guests (not logged in) can not access night mode anymore.
They can, the sun/moon icon is next to the logo on mobile.
I see.
I have also noticed that on Firefox 57 (a somewhat older version), the menu when clicking on the username does not unfold.
Probably not so relevant because I assume most users use a newer version anyway (I don't know which is the last version it would not work on), but still worth noting.
