You can't delete sent messages, just like you can't delete an email you've sent that is now in someone else's mail box.
Al the messages you've sent are stored in "Sent Messages", they will also show up in user's message threads in your "Inbox", when you click the " ➤ full thread " link.
Sent messages can only be deleted by recipients.
If you don't want to visually see them, now that's a different thing.
We could add a "hide" button in the future.
I dont want to delete them from someone elses box, just mine. Hide would work. And I dont like the confirm to delete, just takes longer. Its not like this is important shit being deleted.

Sent messages don't belong to the senders (they just get to see them until the receivers delete them).
When you send a message, there's no copy in your box.

The delete confirmation has been added because many users have reported missing messages they've received when in fact they accidentally deleted them.
WTF is wrong with recipients that they never delete shit? I admit Im a compulsive deleter.
You can post that suggestion to add a "hide" button for sent messages and see if it gets positive feedback in /s/IdeasForPoal
