It would really be interesting to know roughly how many lurkers a post has reached.

Voat.co has a view counter for both active and archived posts. Not even Reddit has any view counter for each post. It's a thing where Voat is set apart from the other news/media aggregator platforms.

I don't know whether Voat counts views like impressions (when viewing the post title in a feed such as the subverse home page), or only when opening the comment page.

But a view count feature would be very much appreciated.

Another consideration would be the ability to just see how many views my own submissions get.

How would we keep people from sharing that information though?

If they shared it, it would still be far less visible than an omnipresent view counter in the side bar.

But that's just my two cents.
