Are you on mobile? I don't know if that makes a difference. I only access on a laptop, custom css disabled and enabled and all I see is the same white text on all characters. The hyperlink will display the link address at the bottom of my screen when I hover on it, but other than that I can't tell if there is a hl in a comment.
