Previously you got to additional subs via a dropdown on the rightmost side of the topbar instead of leftmost SIF. PIF used to be follow. Multimod was modmulti. All of this previous setup was visually and functionally better.
Here's how:
SIF doesn't group well with the links it's placed next to. All, New, PIF, and Modmulti are buttons that take you to a different page. SIF being a dropdown is awkward next to them.
"More's" placement to the right of your topbar subs makes more sense logically, since the topbar subs are essentially the beginning of the list of all subs you subscribe to and we naturally read lists from left to right. So with the previous version, you had sub 1, sub 2, sub 3, ...etc... sub k, until you got to "more", which essentially was just subs k-n. NOW, the order is subs k-n, all, new, PIF, multimod, sub 1, sub 2, sub 3, ...etc... sub k. Not logical.
Another issue with topbar subs is that the last sub that fits onto the topbar (sub k in our previous example) tends to get cut off, which means it also gets added to SIF. This is fine, but again makes a lot more sense if the dropdown follows the last sub that's viewable on the topbar.
Naming:
Acronyms like SIF and PIF are awkward.
If this is done for brevity's sake, "More" has only 1 more character than SIF and is more accurate. SIF means "subs I follow", yet does not actually contain all of the subs you follow; Those on the topbar are excluded. Whereas "more" simply implies a continuation of the list which starts on the topbar.
PIF, if the more obvious "Follow" is too long, could just be "F", as in Friends/Follow/Pay Respects. As for Multimod, formerly Modmulti -- why? Why not "Mod" or "M" to designate it's the mod feed if we're trying to save characters.
