Only users who got their messages deleted by mods or admins are notified.

Why would mods/admins need to know when someone deleted their posts?

Their posts, their choices.

Then why are users prompted for a reason when deleting their own posts?

Cool, I kind of wondered why that was a thing. Usually my documented reason was "as;ldkjfa;slkdjf".

That’s how throat was designed, but it’s not really registering (logs) when it’s OP deleting their own posts/comments.

I need to trigger an alert box (for confirmation) when that happens.

btw...thanks for the alert box when logging out!

So it's similar to what happens in the (required) link field when you switch from a link to a text post and submit the post? I'm still not totally convinced you don't read those. I've been sending you messages.

I think it would be amusing. I'd love to type some random gibberish as a reason for deleting the submission and have the mods trying to decipher it.

Chaos is our friend.

Should have sent that as a PM. Totally April’s fool worth it. 😄

Sweet, I've started a user-led, grassroots revolt against the admins.

The reason is actually ignored and not registered/logged/notified when users delete their own posts/comments.

And admins need to get a message if that deleted message is subsequently releted!

This deserves a post of its own. Please submit!
