Been following hot wheels and constant efforts to prevent 8kun from coming up. If / when they (8kun) give up, who or what site will be next in Brennan's sights? Voat is already self quarantined , so maybe they start looking at Poal and harassing your hoster / ISP / dns provider / ddos service. Something to think about and consider adding into the TOS.

Well in the case of DDOS we would identify where it was coming from and deal with it. DDOSing is already against the ToS.

Now on the issue of if a manifesto was posted to poal. I would absolutely protect that persons right to free speech, I would cooperate with law enforcement in identifying the person if asked. I do think these things should be published and read but I don't support them going and killing people. So yeah I'd cooperate in helping find the person hopefully before they kill someone.

I'm not sure what I would add to the ToS I can't claim to support free speech but not allow someone to post what is basically a suicide note.

OH MY FUCKING GOD, GET A ROOM!

That makes sense. You really can't be held culpable for someone else's actions in that case. When people use manifestos as a justification for censoring platforms it's clearly not about the violence. Closing one more outlet for aggravation is just about the worst way to prevent violence.

I believe there is an argument to be made that letting someone get something like that off their chest might help prevent violence.

I say find a few Kali users and hack their asses hard or just inject data that'll kill their OS. The penetration testing will find them and any hole in their security or find the owner IP address of the offending computer and give their name to the authorities in cybercrime division and the attackers will be on a watch list at least and in jail in a best outcome.

I would hope it would never need to come to something like that.

Hell I'd rather than hack send a 10amp charge through the internet into their computer and have it explode though unlikely it's possible it would be nice to have some SJW shit themselves when it blew up in their face and if they died then we win the bonus round and the world is better having one of them dead.

This is a great answer. To clarify, when I put etc, I really meant more like someone posting a manifesto with intent to do harm like shoot up a place, plant a bomb etc. Etc means similar things without specifying each one. I was thinking a statement in TOS like we support free speech, but expressly planning violence or acts of terror may lead us to take the post down and / or contact the authorities. Something like that. I'm a bit under the weather so cannot put together a long complicated post. Thanks for reading.

I wouldn't be opposed to something like that adding something about intent to commit acts of violence could lead to us assisting authorities, with the hope of preventing the violence in the first place. Thanks for throwing the idea out there.

Thanks man. Yeah that's what I was going for. Just wanted you to think about how / what you could possibly put in TOS to protect yourself and the site for if / when someone does / says something bad here. Need to learn from what happened to 8chan. Even though they were falsely accused in some instances and did comply in a timely manner, they still got shut down. But it would have been earlier in my opinion if they had not cooperated.

At the end of they day, this is YOUR site. I just try to throw out ideas on your (and the site's behalf). Not demanding anything, to be clear.

The only people who do that are government agents. Problem, reaction, solution.

yea running a free speech site these days gets your targeted by the NSA, FBI, CIA, GCHQ, MSM

Oh and when I mentioned DDOS, I meant people harassing cloudflare to deny you DDOS protection service since they say you support terrorists kind of thing. Don't know if you use cloudflare, just using that as an example.

[–] 2 pts

I do not use cloudflare. I do not see the point.

I was just trying to give an example. I'm too sick to keep explaining myself, so I'm gonna log off and just shut the hell up.
