That's why they need to be a pitty mix. There is something with the pure bred that can go off. The mixing seems to make them normal but they still have those fat meaty heads.

10 years no issues? 7 months later, nearly killed..

Was she ignorant and unable to handle the breed? Are other breeds even known to be hard to 'handle'?

There are a lot of breeds that can just "go off". Great Danes are known to as well. They can be fine for years then out of nowhere just kill you.

Sometime I think mid last year a woman that had 3 Danes was brutally mauled to death by them after having them for something like 6+ years. They had no reports of them ever being violent and her family also thought they had never been violent.

Apparently Poodles are like that too, especially the strange crossbreed ones.
