Had a big ass black snake in our cabin for many years. We'd find molted snakeskin in the basement, and many times saw him slithering his way up the field stone exterior to go hunting in the attic. We called it/him Bob. Bob kept the cabin mouse free for many years - he was well over 5 feet in length and must have had a good appetite. The we didn't see him for a while and mice were everywhere all of a sudden. Black snakes are perhaps the best snakes to have hanging out around your house, but their size can be intimidating!
