Mine too a free range but unless you create a vast range for them or build a massive compost to breed bugs they will subsist mainly on your feed.

I have plenty of land, I own the whole block. I have plenty of compost, many bugs and worms available here. I have a worm bed with thousands of worms. I get so many eggs I sell them for $4 a dozen.
