I tried 2 new incubators as well and both had inconsistent heating despite moving them to a warmer room and wrapping them.
Lost several batches of eggs that way and was a huge waste of time and money. Building my own now, but still pondering on how to fix these or a reputable replacement.
Try to find an old redwood on. I haven’t found one in my area that somebody hasn’t already beat me to it. A bit pricey but better than losing a bunch of eggs.
Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for one. Making a cabinet style one, but would be nice having a regular one that works.

Thats what I've got so far. Havent had much time to work on it for a while since ive been setting up a 100 sqft coop and an additional run. Increased airflow and a diffuser to spread the heat out and make it circulate better. 6 temperature and 2 humidity sensors and i wrote some code with a real PID control loop to control an SSR to control the temperature precisely. Will also be able to hook up a humidity injector to it if i ever get around to completing it. Controlled by an rpi2w.

Cool. So far, mine is still just a plywood box with foam board lining it. I need to get the temp stuff or thermostat order and get it finished. It will be pretty big, cabinet style, and is probably overkill for what I need right now, though.
I'm planning on building a hoop coop but like yours. I like that style with the external access to the nest box.
Yeah i was looking at hoop coops as well. I wasn't sure id be able to keep the predators out. We have pretty much everything here coyotes, racoons, foxes, loose dogs, and birds of prey.
