I went on a European mini tour vacation about 4 years ago with my girlfriend (now wife) and her family. Her brother just finished a year studying abroad in Germany. We started in Munich (metropolitan shit hole with beautiful old churches interspersed), went to Regensburg (sp?) which was a beautiful old town with cobblestone roads, untouched by either world war. Then we went to Vienna and Rome before my wife and I went off on our own to Prague and then Amsterdam.
Prague was far and away my favorite. A couple of hideous modern buildings, but vastly outnumbered by gorgeous old architecture, towering churches, and very awesome people. I specifically remember one little gift shop that had a bunch of cat memorabilia. We found a post card that had the same 2 colored short hair cats that we had back home and we showed the lady some pictures of our cats on our phone and she was like "Same! Same cats!!" Heartwarming place and I would return to visit without a second thought.
It's a nice place to live.
Right now they have a green pass where if you don’t get vaccinated you can’t even go to restaurants. They are getting ready to institute mandatory vaccines and then lockdowns on top of that. I think you meant to say it was a nice place to live.
I don't go to restaurants so I don't give a shit. Still a VERY nice place to live.
