For the life of me, I will never understand why people would use plastic plumbing, let alone not insulate the areas that the plumbing runs through. Reminds me of my lazy boomer mother I made squirm for three days when the plumbing in my dead grandmothers home burst two winters ago. Just under three thousand dollars to repair burst plumbing, two mains, and pump a flooded basement filled with an additional two thousand dollars in drinking water.
From the look of the area, you got to it before you were anywhere near that outcome.

Oh yeah as soon as it happened I killed the main and it wasn't that bad, I replaced it with pex supposedly that doesn't burst but its still plastic.

Where are they using PVC for anything other than drains? I've only ever seen PVC used for drains, and it is fine for that as drains aren't under pressure. This is the first time I've seen PVC where it is implied to be a feed pipe and not be outside.
And before anyone gets all uppity about metal pipes, I had a copper pipe/fitting fail in a damn slab that was done in the 1980s so I don't want to hear it. Shit fails.

True as is the bathroom was flooded and it only took maybe 10 min to get the water shut off.

Cpvc replaced it with a couple shark bite fittings and prex I think is what it’s called, it doesn’t burst like pvc does.

Pex is better then pvc imo it supposedly can freeze and not bust. The fittings can bust and they are expensive so you should still wrap

yeah they were like 7.50 a piece for the fittings. I'm insuulating the whole thing once its dry and for now I have an electric heater blowing on it.
