I work with a person like this and I make sure to laugh every time I hear them talk about their dog “child” in a manner that over-humanizes them. I’m talking doggy day care, nannies, haircuts, clothes, jackets, Easter egg hunts... I love dogs, but this shit is pathetic and deserves to be ostracized. Dogs just need to be treated like dogs, not human children.
