Of all the fuckups and paths of destruction taken in human history we never really had the power to truly decimate the entirety of our own progress. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire Europe took a bit of a dive but the elements that allowed the European people to excel at civilization building in the first place were still present and eventually precipitated new empires with the capability to keep the ball rolling so to speak. The world also wasn't so interconnected at that point so events on one side of the globe had less and less effect the further away from them you were.

Now with the (nearly) complete cultural decimation of European heritage and tradition in favor of a new, more 'learned' morality that artificially creates dogmatic adherence and deliberately incorporates hypocrisy as a cornerstone of its ideology in order to maintain compliance in the face of an ever changing agenda, it's genuinely possible that if everything goes tits up we might not recover as a species the way we've done in the past. Most currently prosperous nations are such as a direct result of European advancements in technology, public health, economic and governmental systems. Who among our former beneficiaries now has a strong enough tradition of advancement of their own to shepherd us through another, far more substantial collapse? China? India? Russia?

This destruction of identity for European people, who historically have a strong resistance to being conquered (Christian resistance to the encroachment of Islamic empires, Ireland and Scotland's resistance of English rule, etc etc etc etc) is a deliberate attempt to clear the path for the creation of a new collectivist global identitarian movement with tolerance and environmentalism as its highest ideals - thereby creating the levers by which they can manipulate opinions and events to suit their goals and purposes. Their techniques of mass psychological manipulation and weaponization of technology by the proto hybrid government/corporate/special interest establishment look to be pushing us toward either some kind of supremely disruptive global conflict or complete subjugation (we all know which one they're aiming for) and for better or worse COVID has moved up their timetable.

Unless we can somehow change our fundamental nature in a way that separates or removes the elements of self interest, corruption, and stagnation from concentrated power, the all seeing all knowing global entity which exists to control and regulates all human behavior that globalists and governments are currently in the process of building (think ROTJ death star) will not bring harmony and efficiency to our species but rather oppression and enslavement. Good luck overriding hundreds of thousands of years of evolution.

So a picture like this, not specifically the image itself but what it represents, gives me sort of a mournful feeling because of how close we are to its realization. Maybe we're at the beginning of the end, maybe we're at the end of the beginning. Regardless we'll be lesser than our parents and our children will be lesser than us. And that's a damned fucking shame.

All of the space shuttles are in museums now and not assembled for launch configuration. The Russian Buran (spelling?) shuttle is in an interesting situation though. It was abandoned in a hangar that is falling apart. It's worth looking up.

I dont think we can ever go back in time. There are too many people around to really go back to square one. Itll devolve into what we have in north africa or china, some shit rundown towns but functional with electeicity and all.
