These just popped out in the last few days. For those not familiar with Bougainvilleas, the actual flowers are quite small, probably 3/8", so this is quite a closeup.

I planted a few when I first moved to FL and didn't understand what they could become. Spent a few years getting stabbed every lawn day. Finally decided they had to go. It was not fun ripping them out.

They are beautiful though. A pot is the way to do it.
