THIS is the most depressing pic to come out of covid land.

[–] 9 pts 4y

No way. Nothing tops couples getting married and kissing with masks on.

Completely debasing one of our most sacred sacraments.

[–] 11 pts 4y

This is much worse.

The wedding pictures are idiot adults virtue signaling. These kids don't have any choice in this.

[–] 3 pts 4y

Fair point.

The choice they have is being home schooled.

Wow, we deserve to be enslaved by Klaus Schwab.

Imagine growing up in this clownworld, and this being "normal".

As a new father to my first child born in November 2020, yes, this has ran through my head a few times. But he will be taught it's not. Among other things.

I was already bucking the system and getting into trouble in middle school. It got worse in high school but I learned to hide it better. I would have a good amount of fun fucking with people, malicious compliance, intentional miss-interpretation of the rules, hacking/cracking poorly secured school systems, and so on.

This shit in the picture though? I would straight up refuse to do it, and the worse the punishment, the more right I would see myself.

Good for you. Reminds me of that story about the kid who was suspended for wearing a pepsi shirt to a pep day for coca cola (school sponsor)

I fucked with em too getting sent to the principals office on purpose because he was actually a cool guy, Mr Williams, a Scottish guy with huge eyebrows , he made tea and we talked abour how fucked the system is lol.

You are my hero. Rules I can understand and make sense to me, I've never really had a problem with other than getting in trouble for crossing the line but at least I could understand. My problem in a boarding school was breaking rules that had never been written. Like organizing a blow gun team, making all the weapons and darts and setting up a "war" inside the dorm. Or setting off a huge bag of acetylene/oxygen mix next to the dorm. Eventually I got expelled. The dart war was huge fun and I have no regrets other than I could have chosen a better venue. The acetylene/oxygen "bomb" ... ok, totally stupid idea but great fun. I simply didn't think about how easy it would be for staff to track me down. It was Christmas vacation and there were only six of us guys left on campus who didn't have a way to get home.

If someone had tried to box me in a plastic bag like this I would have flat out refused. No effing way.

Well, the previous generations grew up with their head in the sand. That wasn't normal either.

[–] 1 pt 4y

True, one situation begat the other.

[–] 3 pts 4y

This is a school from which I would be proud to remove my children.

[–] 3 pts 4y

Hey look, kids in cages!

[–] 1 pt 4y

Wow, band was in tents today, whew

[–] [deleted] 1 pt 4y (edited 4y)

Of course this happened under a Democrat...

[–] 0 pt 4y
