I've had seven knee surgeries including the TKR. Two ankle surgeries, one wrist surgery, and a plate in my ribcage.
Live fast, die young, leave a good looking corpse.

At this point I think selling my body to the scrap recycler is the fams most lucrative option. :)
I joke but compared to the rest of modern medicine ortho doctors are doing some amazing work. Psych is still in its stone age. Ortho put me back on my feet.
Did they close your TKR with stitches? They used glue on mine. It was great - no need for the stitch or staple removal.
I think I got the glue thing too. I don't know? So far I'm pleased. I waited too long to get it fixed. It stopped working last spring. I kept trying to rehab it myself with no result. I the meantime I struggled with the immobility. I'm happy to be where I'm at now.

I'm thinking I might buy a kayak. That would allow me to get outside and not hurt my joints. It's gonna be okay!
