Pretty bizarre story, and freakish to have caught that pic. 1970 may have been the first instance of stowaways in the landing gear compartment of a jet, but it wasn't the last. I recall a 1980s (?) story where the stowaway actually survived takeoff, but passed out at altitude due to oxygen deprivation. Dude was still passed out when the plane lowered landing gear to land, and fell out. Body crashed into/through something when it "landed", and it took the police some time to figure it all out.
