It's really fun to look back at pictures that are from when she was a younger woman in a life before my Father. There's not too many pictures and the ones that we have are just so old that they're almost falling apart visually. But over the years from all the family vacations and some of the stuff around the neighborhood and to see the neighbors when they were young and to see myself when I was a young boy and then teenager. It's surreal that these were our lives at one time. And I think back at the things we did and I wonder now why was I the way I was and or why were things the way they were. But they were and that was the time. I do know now moving forward I'm going to take a lot more pictures of myself because when I'm old (I was about to say my age) I wish I could see more of who I was. I have some pictures but mostly it's just of landscapes. How boring, but to actually see myself and some of the people that I'm with, to me those are the real stories.

I've got a few negatives. But I don't have the tech you're talking about and more than likely no way to get a hold of it. My cell phone's pretty good at capturing the pictures even the ones from old prints from the 60s. To see my mom when she was 22 years old it's such a trip. To see us as a family when we were going on neighborhood campouts, talk about memory lane.

My now ex-gf bought the scanner for me one Christmas (after I told her what to get, lol!). It works great! I've scanned at least a couple thousand images. The details in those negatives are fascinating compared to the prints of the day. I have photo software that allows me to change exposure, contrast, brightness, etc. Filters to sharpen, blur, and other tools. It can consume some time. My mom grew up on a farm. I have a picture of her at 10 years old with her pet sheep. Really cute picture.

What kind of scanner?
