So it was just a “vent house” where air exited? No machinery? A pusher fan was at the other end maybe. I know nothing about ventilating mines. Experimented with some groundhog holes once, but that doesn’t count.

I'm sure there was something in the building at one time, but it was either removed by the mine when it was closed or scrappers took it.
