American Lotus is my guess. They are fairly common around here.
I didn't have my macro lens on at the time. This was taken using my Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6E as I was out for birds. In retrospect I wish I had taken the time to get a nice focus stacked exposure of it using my macro lens.
