Pennsylvania vehicles that fail usually come to Ohio for resale, cheap. I think everyone I knew drove an ex-PA vehicle in high school, you could always tell by the front plate being bolted on in weird spots (assuming the car didn't have a bumper indent for it.)
And they have you get inspected at the same place that fixes it. So you know EVERY SINGLE TIME they find something wrong with it for $500
This is exactly how every part of government works because the only goal is to enslave and sheer you just like a sheep. In a few hundred years at least in America it went from being only responsible for high level regulation of a few very narrow areas to micromanaging every aspect of your life. I blame the populace because all this shit occurs because most of them are Karens who need to be protected from every slight or danger and everyone just goes along with more and more regulation.

I will say that I would rather be grifted by a good 'ol boy mechanic for a brake pad change than deal with Shaniqua at the state inspection station any day. Also the inspection system makes it so there are a ton of cheap mechanics in PA.
