I was just thinking about that, and in the right situation it would work out. I have imagined a scenario this would work out. Those guys were best friends and spent alot of time together drinking and having fun. When the father realized his friend was a low IQ pedophile who hurt his daughter, he probably invited him out camping and while they were alone in the wilderness, the father revealed that he knew what he did to his daughter. The father probably then gave him like maybe 5 minutes to talk so then he could start a clever retort, appealing to the pedophile's humanity. The pedo might ask "How can I make things right between us?" and his ex-buddy would have handed him a shovel and said "Dig your own grave and kill yourself." There would be some shocked hesitation where the pedo tries to justify his actions in a sad effort of self preservation and while he's rambling the father then pulls out one of the two guns, points it, and cocks the gun. "I hear if I kill you, my soul will not be granted entrance to heaven, so I can't kill you. And your a worthless pedophile, you don't deserve redemption. Do the world and act of kindness and kill yourself and go to Hell where you belong. You're lucky you even get a grave." Especially if this is his first offense as a pedophile and the pedophile was youngish, a best friend would know exactly what to say to him to make him want to kill himself. Once the pedo finishes the grave, the father pulls out a second gun and tosses it in the hole, keeping his other trained on the pedo. I bet the pedo was crying his eyes out and so emotionally distraught by the end of it he willfully shot himself.
