NEW LAWSUIT: "Hamburger Mary’s in Orlando, famous for its burgers and drag shows, is suing the state of Florida and DeSantis in federal court, claiming the bill is a violation of their First Amendment rights."

— Chris Geidner () May 23, 2023

Curious that Hamburger Mary's would declare this an attack on their 1A rights. It doesnt stop them from doing drag shows, and it doesnt stop them from serving minors, it just says they cant do both at the same time.

Why is it imperative for them to do this in front of kids?

Under the same law wouldn't wet tshirt contest, or waitresses in scantly clad dress dancing and the like be barred? I'm not against that, it's just that those things have been allowed in the past.

Under the law, these things are no longer permissible. Sexualized behavior in the presence of minors is illegal.
