There is just no way around it. Even if you are homeschooling you still have to purchase materials, books, computers, etc. It's costly to jump out of the public school game. We are going to drop $6K this year in tuition for my daughter to go to a private school just for pre-K, and another $6K every year after. Plus I just put out $200 in supplies and school uniforms. It's completely worth it though. Her teacher is older than my mother and totally old school. She had the parents at the open house responding in yes ma'am's/no ma'am's because she cammands the classroom so well. I know my daughter won't have her head filled with PC garbage. Also the Archbishop over the entire school is the same one who is getting negative national media attention for firing three gay school teachers this past year, and still not bending to pressure from it. So the money spent is going to be well worth it if it protects her from all the SJW/socialism indoctrination crap. She might be one of a few hundred thousand in her generation, but she will be one.

Honestly, I'm not sold on homeschooling at all. I've done a lot of research into it and I've bought several packages to test out. I think it's important kids are out and around others. Everyone points to homeschooling as this quaint thing that is rooted in the past, but even in the past if you wanted quality education parents would send their kids away. I don't understand where this romanticizing came from.

We don't homeschool because it is traditional although from my understanding most families would not send their children to school till they were closer to 9. We homeschool because home is where are children are loved and understood. Home is where they can thrive. We homeschool because we tried a highly recommended school in our area and it killed our daughter's love of learning. They push kids too early to do things they are not ready to do and when they can't do them kids are left feeling bad.

Not everyone is ment to homeschool but at pre K I did not even think of it as schooling, we were just living life together.

I hope this school is everything you are hoping it will be and she and you have a great year. There are some really great teachers out there and even some good schools. I used to work in daycares and I did really love the children I worked with so I know there are others out there that will too.
