I don't think its selfish to have kids. Its selfish to demand others don't have kids then say we have to import the entire third world rape-apes to make up for not having kids. There are good altruistic arguments to have kids, and there are very fine religious and societal arguments to having kids, but there should also be selfish reasons to have kids. Those would be the optimal motivations.
