kek brings back funny memories
I still have a hand written note from my then 7 year old daughter (now 27) apologizing for the shoes she lost at school and my insane diatribe following when I picked her up. I saved the letter to remind me that a child losing their shoes at school, although it seemed like a big deal at the time, really wasn’t. I feel guilty to this day. Hence saving the apology letter. As a brutal reminder.
It's ok. You improved. You recognized what you did wrong. You adjusted your behavior. It's not healthy to carry around your past fuckups forever. There's embarrassing shit burned into my mind that pops up every now and then that I'd rather forget.
One thing I don't do is save keepsakes of my own failures. Burn that shit. It damages you and all that are around you.
Edit: Look at you, you made a daughter and she's all grown up now. You did good! Let go of that old shit.
Your words are too kind, good Sir. Thank you.
Your gloves were not sewed into your coat with a cord by grandma?
No, they were secured by a string that ran up one sleeve inside the back and out the other sleeve...
It's still a little dicey
