Didn't work on me, BUT, the same parents who uselessly tried spankings as punishment, DID impart manners, work ethic, good morals, respect, etc. All that "Whiteness" stuff they're always complaining about.
So I'm not so sure the spankings are quite as important as the mindset and values of the parents who often employ them. Because I've seen plenty of white trash and nigger bitches screaming at, spanking, and slapping their kids, and those kids end up just as shitty as their shitty parents.
But yeah, legally, parents should be able to spank kids.
good point. When I was punished I was told what it was for, understood and then was rewarded with appreciation for understanding ethical morality and all was in the past.
That's the real difference, and probably the reason why corporal punishment isn't viewed well anymore. Good parents spank their kids to HELP their kids be better people. Shit parents spank and beat their kids because they want to take their anger out on the kid, not realizing their kids bad behavior is really their own damn fault.
Spankings work, not so much as a deterrent but as a way of learning there are consequences to one's actions.
