Why melancholy?
Everything that can go wrong these past two years has. Lost 3 parrots, 1 dog, neighbor died after the 2nd Vax and my daughter's dad is taking my daughter's house that was supposed to be put in trust for her.
But, in the up side, I'm leaving California. The state was never a good match for me though I love the mountains.
I've been drinking wine. I hadn't drank anything for 5 years. Sad. On the other hand, once I leave, things will turn around again.
Hoping to get on a plane this week or next to look at houses. I need to breathe again ...
Thanks for inquiring and listening.
Sorry to be a bit psycho lately, but that too will pass. Almost in a better place. ;)
Everyone here is a massive psycho because nothing is right.
Yes, the world is in turmoil. Though some of us have been hit personally in other ways too.
Losing my pets was the toughest. I don't usually let things get me down. It's a long story how they passed.. Two birds died suddenly and the other flew out of the house. I hired animal rescue and searched for her for two months. But, we never found her in the mountains. She was my favorite bird. My dog, however, lived until 17. It was time for him to go.
It's tough when everything happens at once. Daughter's dad is retiring from the medical field. I thought the home we were living in was going to my daughter. Now, he wants to buy us out. I'm ready to move though. I'll leave the past behind. I'll go back to the old me, silent yet content.
Hope you're well, btw.
On the upside, I still have three more parrots in my home. I'm friends with an exotic bird breeder. He's my neighbor. I've been learning falconry. I was going to get a special license here in California to breed hawks, Falcons and owls. I love birds. Hopefully, I can breed birds when I get to my new destination.
