She was sorta before I started into good punk and similar music. Later found out that she was married to MC5 founder Fred Smith. Seemed odd to me that she finished writing lyrics for Bruce's 1977 song "Because the Night" back when he was good. Though her wildest stuff not quite my cup of tea, she has my utmost respect. Radio Ethiopia has to be my favorite although she did a lot of good stuff over the years. I recall her catching flak for criticizing the zionist war actions and not giving a fuck. I'd buy her a drink any time. (And we'll leave it at that--even in her 70's she hot stuff.)
