There is only one Catholic Church. Christ instituted his priesthood.
"He that hears you hears me: and he that despises you despises meβ (John 10:16)
"Do this for a commemoration of me" (Luke 22:24)
"Receive the Holy Ghost; who soever's sins you forgive they are forgiven, who soever's sins you retain, they are retained" (20:21-23).
"Neglect not the grace that is in thee , which was given thee by prophecy, with imposition of the hands of priesthood" (I Tim. 4:14).

Some of those verses I just listed confirm the priesthood where Christ gives the apostles the power to forgive sin. The imposition of the hands by St. Paul.
