In the nineties when these guys toured New Sharialand I was about 22 years old and my friend asked if I wanted to be the driver for this band from the US, he said they were the fastest band in the world and the bass player Dan was from Anthrax. Of course I leaped at the opportunity (no pay or anything) or though I didn't even have a drivers license at the time but we had an old one some one found in the gutter and scratched the name off and wrote my name on there. (was before photo Id license in nz) Anyway I met the band and we proceeded to drive out to Paekakriki (about 40km north of the capitol Wellington) where we hired a van and I drove them around the North Island for a week while they played at numerous pubs students halls and community centers lol we all crashed where ever we could usually on floors at peoples houses because no hotels were provided. Anyway these guys were really awesome to hang out with and they argued a bit amongst themselves but treated me and my girlfriend really well. True story.
