Hard to phrase this, but bear with me. Living in the US, and occasionally I think about what other countries I would travel to if I had the money and ambition to do so. Realistically though, I have a hard time justifying leaving the US. Sure, I have some interest in European history and places of interest, but other than that I can find all sorts of adventure here. If I wanted to explore different cultures and civilizations, they're already here. If I want a change of scenery or terrain, I can find what I'm looking for. If I want to be left the hell alone, I can make it happen (though I may go through hell to do so). Damn near inifinite possibilities, and I don't even need a passport. Why leave?
