I managed to archive my submission history before Voat died the final death. Just a little something to remember our old home by before new content comes in.

(As an added bonus, it also saved fightknightHERO's collection of news sites and recommended channels on the sidebar.)

Not too sure. I can only say the effort to get it all was made. My teck acts up. I did however spend a very long and mind numbing day in trying to swiftly open every single OAG article, load every single comment, and then save them all. My device fought me quite a bit and some replies were already deleted or said no comments once opened. Assuming my scrollbar didnt glitch past some posts and make me miss them as it tried many times then I should at least have each article.

It would be nice if these sites could implement a backup option. What you described is a nightmare. trying to save everything that way.

Nightmare indeed. Also agreed.

Sites really need to start tossing up a copy of itself when they go dark. Far too many things are just blinked out of existence with minimal warning if any at all.
