True. But also, there's a video on yt showing cd x vinyl using an oscilloscope. You clearly see the abrupt cut cd causes in the high frequencies. Also, even in frequencies that are not cut, I guess that 2 or 3 samples per cycle are not enough. Anyway, the clicks and cracklings and all the care we had to have with vinyl sucked. Unfortunately, no high quality digital audio format got traction enough to become a industry standard. The japs tried.

Vinyl does a better job of reproducing the top octave, 10k to 20k Hz. CD's can come close, but due to fewer samples per cycle, at the highest frequencies, cymbal sizzle often sounds a bit distorted.
