There is a real benefit to adding more time and distance between you and your last use.

For me, in the thick of addiction to alcohol, I couldn't see how crossed my wires were in my head. Time unravels those wires. That is the healing that occurs as a result of not using.

Eventually for me, there was a tidal shift of clear thinking and peace which replaced the obsessive compulsion.

Keep it up, and give time a chance to reward you.
